The LM1279 is a full featured and low cost video amplifier with OSD (On Screen Display). 8V operation for low power and increased reliability. The AD521 is a second generation, low cost, monolithic IC instrUmentation amplifier developed by Analog Devices.As a trUe instrUmentation amplifier, the AD521 is a gain block with differential inputs and an accurately programmable input/ output gain relationship. The AD521 ICinstrUmentation amplifier should not be confused with an operational amplifier, although severalmanufactUrers(including Analog Devices)offer op amps which can be used as building blocks in variable gain instrumentation amplifier circuits. Op amps are general-purpose components which, when used with precision-matched external resistors, can perform the instrUmentation amplifier function. An instrumentation amplifier is a precision differential voltage gain device optimized for operation in a real world environment, and is intended to be used wherever acquisition of a useful signal is difficult. It is characterized by high input impedance, balanced differential inputs, low bias currents and high CMR. As a complete instrUmentation amplifier, the AD521 requires only two resistors to set its gain to any value between 0.1 and 1000. The ratio matching of these resistors does not affect the high CMRR (up to 120dB) or the high input impedance (3 X 109il) of the AD521. Furthermore, unlike most operational amplifier-based instrUmentation amplifiers, the inputs are protected against overvoltagesup to :1:15volts beyond the supplies. The AD521 IC instrumentation amplifier is available in four different versions of accuracy and operating temperatUre range. The MAX705–MAX708/MAX813L microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits reduce the complexity and number of components required to monitor power-supply and battery functions in µP systems. The MIC4423 family are highly reliable BiCMOS/DMOS buffer/driver/MOSFET drivers. They are higher output current versions of the which are improved versions of the . All three families are pin compatible. The MIC4423 drivers are capable of giving reliable service in more demanding electrical environments than their predecessors. They will not latch under any conditions within their power and voltage ratings. They can survive up to 5V of noise spiking, of either polarity, on the ground pin. They can accept, without either damage or logic upset, up to half an amp of reverse current (either polarity) forced back into their outputs. The MIC4423/4424/4425 series drivers are easier to use, more flexible in operation, and more forgiving than other CMOS or bipolar drivers currently available. Their BiCMOS/DMOS construction dissipates minimum power and provides rail-to-rail voltage swings. Primarily intended for driving power MOSFETs, the MIC4423/4424/4425 drivers are suitable for driving other loads (capacitive, resistive, or inductive) which require low-impedance, high peak currents, and fast switching times. Heavily loaded clock lines, coaxial cables, or piezoelectric transducers are some examples. The only known limitation on loading is that total power dissipated in the driver must be kept within the maximum power dissipation limits of the package.

The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP3004/3008 devices are successive approximation 10-bit Analogto-Digital (A/D) converters with on-board sample and hold circuitry. The MCP3004 is programmable to provide two pseudo-differential input pairs or four single-ended inputs. The MCP3008 is programmable to provide four pseudo-differential input pairs or eight single-ended inputs. Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and Integral Nonlinearity (INL) are specified at ±1 LSB. Communication with the devices is accomplished using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The devices are capable of conversion rates of up to 200 ksps. The MCP3004/3008 devices operate over a broad voltage range (2.7V - 5.5V). Low-current design permits operation with typical standby currents of only 5 nA and typical active currents of 320 µA. The MCP3004 is offered in 14-pin PDIP, 150 mil SOIC and TSSOP packages, while the MCP3008 is offered in 16- pin PDIP and SOIC packages.

The 33883 is an H-bridge gate driver (also known as a full-bridge pre-driver) IC with integrated charge pump and independent highand low-side gate driver channels. The gate driver channels are independently controlled by four separate input terminals, thus allowing the device to be optionally configured as two independent high-side gate drivers and two independent low-side gate drivers. The low-side channels are referenced to ground. The high-side channels are floating. The gate driver outputs can source and sink up to 1.0 A peak current pulses, permitting large gate-charge MOSFETs to be driven and/or high Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequencies to be utilized. A linear regulator is incorporated, providing a 15 V typical gate supply to the low-side gate drivers

The MC34118 Voice Switched Speakerphone Circuit incorporates the necessary amplifiers, attenuators, level detectors, and control algorithm to form the heart of a high quality hands--free speakerphone system. Included are a microphone amplifier with adjustable gain and MUTE control, Transmit and Receive attenuators which operate in a complementary manner, level detectors at both input and output of both attenuators, and background noise monitors for both the transmit and receive channels. A Dial Tone Detector prevents the dial tone from being attenuated by the Receive background noise monitor circuit. Also included are two line driver amplifiers which can be used to form a hybrid network in conjunction with an external coupling transformer. A high--pass filter can be used to filter out 60 Hz noise in the receive channel, or for other filtering functions. A Chip Disable pin permits powering down the entire circuit to conserve power on long loops where loop current is at a minimum. The MC34118 may be operated from a power supply, or it can be powered from the telephone line, requiring typically 5.0 mA. The MC34118 can be interfaced directly to Tip and Ring (through a coupling transformer) for stand--alone operation, or it can be used in conjunction with a handset speech network and/or other features of a featurephone.

These octal bus transceivers are designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. The control-function implementation minimizes external timing requirements. The SNx4LS245 devices allow data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus, depending on the logic level at the directioncontrol (DIR) input. The output-enable (OE) input can disable the device so that the buses are effectively isolated.

The TL08xH (TL081H, TL082H, and TL084H) family of devices are the next-generation versions of the industry-standard TL08x (TL081, TL082, and TL084) devices. These devices provide outstanding value for cost-sensitive applications, with features including low offset (1mV, typical), high slew rate (20V/µs), and common-mode input to the positive supply. High ESD (1.5kV, HBM), integrated EMI and RF filters, and operation across the full –40°C to 125°C enable the TL08xH devices to be used in the most rugged and demanding applications.

The 74HC164; 74HCT164 is an 8-bit serial-in/parallel-out shift register. The device features two serial data inputs (DSA and DSB), eight parallel data outputs (Q0 to Q7). Data is entered serially through DSA or DSB and either input can be used as an active HIGH enable for data entry through the other input. Data is shifted on the LOW-to-HIGH transitions of the clock (CP) input. A LOW on the master reset input (MR) clears the register and forces all outputs LOW, independently of other inputs. Inputs include clamp diodes. This enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages in excess of VCC.

The ULN2804A is a popular high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array designed by Texas Instruments and other manufacturers. It is primarily used to drive inductive loads like relays, motors, and LEDs.

The UDx2916 motor drivers drive both windings of a bipolar stepper motor or bidirectionally control two DC motors. Both bridges are capable of sustaining 45 V and include internal pulse-width modulation (PWM) control of the output current to 750 mA. The outputs have been optimized for a low output saturation voltage drop (less than 1.8 V total source plus sink at 500 mA). For PWM current control, the maximum output current is determined by user selection of a reference voltage and sensing resistor. Two logic-level inputs select output current limits of 0%, 33%, 67%, or 100% of the maximum level. A PHASE input to each bridge determines load current direction. The bridges include both ground-clamp and flyback diodes for protection against inductive transients. Internally generated delays prevent crossover currents when switching current direction. Special power-up sequencing is not required. Thermal protection circuitry disables the outputs if the chip temperature exceeds safe operating limits. The device is supplied in a 24-pin dual in-line plastic (DIP, package B) with two pairs of batwing leads as heat-sinkable tabs for enhanced power dissipation capabilities. The LB package is a 24-lead surface-mount wide SOIC with two pairs  of batwing leads. The EB package is a 44-lead power PLCC with 11 internally-fused leads on two sides. Their webbed-lead construction provides for maximum package power dissipation in the smallest possible construction. The devices are available for operation from –20°C to 85°C (range N), and from –40°C to 105°C (range Q). All packages are lead (Pb) free, with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.

DRAIN (D) Pin: This pin is the power MOSFET drain connection. It provides internal operating current for both start-up and steady-state operation. BYPASS/MULTI-FUNCTION (BP/M) Pin: This pin has multiple functions: • It is the connection point for an external bypass capacitor for the internally generated 5.85 V supply. • It is a mode selector for the current limit value, depending on the value of the capacitance added. Use of a 0.1 μF capacitor results in the standard current limit value. Use of a 1 μF capacitor results in the current limit being reduced to that of the next smaller device size. Use of a 10 μF capacitor results in the current limit being increased to that of the next larger device size for TNY285-290. • It provides a shutdown function. When the current into the bypass pin exceeds ISD, the device latches off until the BP/M voltage drops below 4.9 V, during a power-down or, when the UV function is employed with external resistors connected to the BP/UV pin, by taking the UV/EN pin current below IUV minus the reset hysteresis (Typ. 18.75 μA). This can be used to provide an output overvoltage function with a Zener connected from the BYPASS/MULTIFUNCTIONAL pin to a bias winding supply.

The LM358B and LM2904B devices are the next-generation versions of the industry-standard operational amplifiers (op amps) LM358 and LM2904, which include two high-voltage (36V) op amps. These devices provide outstanding value for cost-sensitive applications, with features including low offset (300µV, typical), common-mode input range to ground, and high differential input voltage capability. The LM358B and LM2904B op amps simplify circuit design with enhanced features such as unity-gain stability, lower offset voltage maximum of 3mV (2mV maximum for LM358BA and LM2904BA), and lower quiescent current of 300µA per amplifier (typical). High ESD (2kV, HBM) and integrated EMI and RF filters enable the LM358B and LM2904B devices to be used in the most rugged, environmentally challenging applications. The LM358B and LM2904B amplifiers are available in micro-sized packaging, such as the SOT23-8, as well as industry standard packages including SOIC, TSSOP, and VSSOP.

The LM2907 and LM2917 devices are monolithic frequency-to-voltage converters with a high gain op amp designed to operate a relay, lamp, or other load when the input frequency reaches or exceeds a selected rate. The tachometer uses a charge pump technique and offers frequency doubling for low-ripple, full-input protection in two versions (8-pin LM2907 and LM2917), and its output swings to ground for a zero frequency input.

The op amp is fully compatible with the tachometer and has a floating transistor as its output. This feature allows either a ground or supply referred load of up to 50 mA. The collector may be taken above VCC up to a maximum VCE of 28 V.

The two basic configurations offered include an 8-pin device with a input and an internal connection between the tachometer output and the op amp noninverting input. This version is well suited for single speed or frequency switching or fully buffered frequency-to-voltage conversion applications.

The more versatile configurations provide differential tachometer input and uncommitted op amp inputs. With this version the tachometer input may be floated and the op amp becomes suitable for active filter conditioning of the tachometer output.

The L298N is a dual H-Bridge motor driver which allows speed and direction control of two DC motors at the same time. The module can drive DC motors that have voltages between 5 and 35V, with a peak current up to 2A. Let's take a closer look at the pinout of L298N module and explain how it works.

The TBD62083AFWG is an 8-channel, high-current Darlington sink driver IC from Toshiba. It is designed to drive loads such as relays, LEDs, and solenoids, making it ideal for industrial and automotive applications. 

The LM111, LM211, and LM311 devices are single high-speed voltage comparators. These devices are designed to operate from a wide range of powersupply voltages, including ±15-V supplies for operational amplifiers and 5-V supplies for logic systems. The output levels are compatible with most TTL and MOS circuits. These comparators are capable of driving lamps or relays and switching voltages up to 50 V at 50 mA. All inputs and outputs can be isolated from system ground. The outputs can drive loads referenced to ground, VCC+ or VCC−. Offset balancing and strobe capabilities are available, and the outputs can be wire-OR connected. If the strobe is low, the output is in the off state, regardless of the differential input.

The OPA4343UA is a quad low-power operational amplifier (op-amp) from Texas Instruments, designed for applications requiring low power consumption, rail-to-rail input and output, and good overall performance. 

The LM2675 series of regulators are monolithic integrated DC-DC converter circuits built with a LMDMOS process. These regulators provide all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving a 1-A load current with excellent line and load regulation. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, and an adjustable output version. Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use and include patented internal frequency compensation and a fixed frequency oscillator. The LM2675 series operates at a switching frequency of 260 kHz, thus allowing smaller-sized filter components than what would be needed with lower frequency switching regulators. Because of its very high efficiency (>90%), the copper traces on the printed-circuit board are the only heat sinking needed.

The L79 series of three-terminal negative regulators is available in TO-220, TO-220FP and D²PAK packages and several fixed output voltages, making it useful in a wide range of applications. These regulators can provide local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation; furthermore, having the same voltage option as the L78 positive standard series, they are particularly suited for split power supplies. If adequate heat sinking is provided, they can deliver over 1.5 A output current. Although designed primarily as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.

The MC74HC374AN is a specific type of integrated circuit (IC) designed by Motorola (now part of NXP Semiconductors) as part of the HC (High-Speed CMOS) series. Here's some key information about it:

Features and Overview:

The LM217, LM317 are monolithic integrated circuits in TO-220, TO-220FP, D²PAK and SOT223 packages intended for use as positive adjustable voltage regulators. They are designed to supply more than 1.5 A of load current with an output voltage adjustable over a 1.2 to 37 V range. The nominal output voltage is selected by means of a resistive divider, making the device exceptionally easy to use and eliminating the stocking of many fixed regulators. 

Texas Instruments LMR51603-Q1 Synchronous Buck Converter drives up to 300mA of load current. The wide-VIN, easy-to-use, synchronous buck converter is designed for various industrial applications for power conditioning from an unregulated source, with a 4V to 65V wide input range.

The TI LMR51603-Q1 operates at 400kHz switching frequency to support relatively small inductors for an optimized design dimension. The LMR51603-Q1 offers a pulse frequency modulation (PFM version) to achieve high efficiency at light load and forced pulse width modulation (FPWM version) to accomplish constant frequency and small output voltage ripple over the entire load range. Soft-start and compensation circuits are facilitated internally, which allows the device to be used with minimal external components.

The converter has built-in protection features, such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown in case of excessive power dissipation.

The LMR51603-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP6001/2/4 family of operational amplifiers (op amps) is specifically designed for general purpose applications. This family has a 1 MHz Gain Bandwidth Product (GBWP) and 90° phase margin (typical). It also maintains a 45° phase margin (typical) with a 500 pF capacitive load. This family operates from a single-supply voltage as low as 1.8V, while drawing 100 µA (typical) quiescent current. Additionally, the MCP6001/2/4 supports rail-to-rail input and output swing, with a Common-mode input voltage range of VDD + 300 mV to VSS – 300 mV. This family of op amps is designed with Microchip’s advanced CMOS process. The MCP6001/2/4 family is available in the industrial and extended temperature ranges, with a power supply range of 1.8V to 6.0V.

The SNx4xx00 devices contain four independent, 2-input NAND gates. The devices perform the Boolean function Y = A .B or Y = A + B in positive logic.

The LM118 series are precision high speed operational amplifiers designed for applications requiring wide bandwidth and high slew rate. They feature a factor of ten increase in speed over general purpose devices without sacrificing DC performance.

The LM118 series has internal unity gain frequency compensation. This considerably simplifies its application since no external components are necessary for operation. However, unlike most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation may be added for optimum performance. For inverting applications, feedforward compensation will boost the slew rate to over 150V/μs and almost double the bandwidth. Overcompensation can be used with the amplifier for greater stability when maximum bandwidth is not needed. Further, a single capacitor can be added to reduce the 0.1% settling time to under 1 μs.

The high speed and fast settling time of these op amps make them useful in A/D converters, oscillators, active filters, sample and hold circuits, or general purpose amplifiers. These devices are easy to apply and offer an order of magnitude better AC performance than industry standards such as the LM709.

The LM218-N is identical to the LM118 except that the LM218-N has its performance specified over a −25°C to +85°C temperature range. The LM318-N is specified from 0°C to +70°C.

The UC384xB family of control ICs provides the necessary features to implement off-line or DC to DC fixed frequency current mode control schemes with a minimal external parts count. Internally implemented circuits include a trimmed oscillator for precise DUTY CYCLE CONTROL under voltage lockout featuring start-up current less than 0.5mA, a precision reference trimmed for accuracy at the error amp input, logic to insure latched operation, a PWM comparator which also provides current limit control, and a totem pole output stage designed to source or sink high peak current. The output stage, suitable for driving N-Channel MOSFETs, is low in the offstate. Differences between members of this family are the under-voltage lockout thresholds and maximum duty cycle ranges. The UC3842B and UC3844B have UVLO thresholds of 16V (on) and 10V (off), ideally suited off-line applications The corresponding thresholds for the UC3843B and UC3845B are 8.5 V and 7.9 V. The UC3842B and UC3843B can operate to duty cycles approaching 100%. A range of the zero to < 50 % is obtained by the UC3844B and UC3845B by the addition of an internal toggle flip flop which blanks the output off every other clock cycle.

This benefit, combined with the fast switching speed and ruggedized device design that HEXFET Power MOSFETs are well known for, provides the designer with an extremely efficient and reliable device for use in a wide variety of applications. The TO-220 package is universally preferred for all commercial-industrial applications at power dissipation levels to approximately 50 watts. The low thermal resistance and low package cost of the TO220 contribute to its wide acceptance throughout the industry.
