The LM101A series are general purpose operational ampli- fiers which feature improved performance over industry stan-dards like the LM709. Advanced processing techniques make possible an order of magnitude reduction in input currents, and a redesign of the biasing circuitry reduces the temperature drift of input current. and output, no latch-up when the common mode range is exceeded, and freedom from oscillations and compensa-tion with a single 30 pF capacitor. It has advantages over internally compensated amplifiers in that the frequency compensation can be tailored to the particular applica-tion. For example, in low frequency circuits it can be overcompensated for increased stability margin. Or the compensation can be optimized to give more than a factor of ten improvement in high frequency performance for most applications. In addition, the device provides better accuracy and lower noise in high impedance  circuitry. The low input currents also make it particularly well suited for long interval integrators or timers, sample and hold circuits and low frequency waveform generators. Further, replac-ing circuits where matched transistor pairs buffer the inputs of conventional IC op amps, it can give lower offset voltage and a drift at a lower cost. The LM101A is guaranteed over a temperature range of −55 ̊C to +125 ̊C, the LM201A from −25 ̊C to +85 ̊C, and the LM301A from 0 ̊C to +70 ̊C.

The LF444 quad low power operational amplifier provides many of the same AC characteristics as the industry standard LM148 while greatly improving the  DC characteristics of the LM148. The amplifier has the same bandwidth, slew rate, and gain (10 kΩ load) as the LM148 and only draws one fourth the supply current of the LM148. In addition the well matched high voltage JFET input devices of the LF444 reduce the input bias and offset currents by a factor of 10,000 over the LM148. The LF444 also has a very low equivalent input noise voltage for a low power amplifier. The LF444 is pin compatible with the LM148 allowing an immediate 4 times reduction in power drain in many applications. The LF444 should be used wherever low power dissipation and good electrical characteristics are the major considerations.

The MCP3202 is a successive approximation 12-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with on-board sample and hold circuitry. The MCP3202 is programmable to provide a single pseudo-differential input pair or dual single-ended inputs. The LFx98x devices are monolithic sample-and-hold circuits that use BI-FET technology to obtain ultrahigh DC accuracy with fast acquisition of signal and low droop rate. Operating as a unity-gain follower, DC gain accuracy is 0.002% typical and acquisition time is as low as 6 µs to 0.01%. A bipolar input stage is used to achieve low offset voltage and wide bandwidth. Input offset adjust is accomplished with a single pin and does not degrade input offset drift. The wide bandwidth allows the LFx98x to be included inside the feedback loop of 1-MHz operational amplifiers without having stability problems. Input impedance of 1010 Ω allows high-source impedances to be used without degrading accuracy. P-channel junction FETs are combined with bipolar devices in the output amplifier to give droop rates as low as 5 mV/min with a 1-µF hold capacitor. The JFETs have much lower noise than MOS devices used in previous designs and do not exhibit high temperature instabilities. The overall design ensures no feedthrough from input to output in the hold mode, even for input signals equal to the supply voltages. Logic inputs on the LFx98x are fully differential with low input current, allowing for direct connection to TTL, PMOS, and CMOS. Differential threshold is 1.4 V. The LFx98x will operate from ±5-V to ±18-V supplies. An A version is available with tightened electrical specifications

    The LM195/LM395 are fast, monolithic power integrated circuits with complete overload protection. These devices, which act as high gain power transistors, have included on
    the chip, current limiting, power limiting, and thermal over- load protection making them virtually impossible to destroy from any type of overload. In the standard TO-3 transistor
    power package, the LM195 will deliver load currents in ex- cess of 1.0A and can switch 40V in 500 ns. The inclusion of thermal limiting, a feature not easily avail- able in discrete designs, provides virtually absolute protec- tion against overload. Excessive power dissipation or inad- equate heat sinking causes the thermal limiting circuitry to turn off the device preventing excessive heating. The LM195 offers a significant increase in reliability as well as simplifying power circuitry. In some applications, where
    protection is unusually difficult, such as switching regulators, lamp or solenoid drivers where normal power dissipation is
    low, the LM195 is especially advantageous.
    The LM195 is easy to use and only a few precautions need be observed. Excessive collector to emitter voltage can de-
    stroy the LM195 as with any power transistor. When the device is used as an emitter follower with low source imped ance, it is necessary to insert a 5.0k resistor in series with the base lead to prevent possible emitter follower oscilla- tions. Although the device is usually stable as an emitter
    follower, the resistor eliminates the possibility of trouble with- out degrading performance. Finally, since it has good high
    frequency response, supply bypassing is recommended. For low-power applications (under 100 mA), refer to the LP395 Ultra Reliable Power Transistor. The LM195/LM395 are available in the standard TO-3, Kovar
    TO-5, and TO-220 packages. The LM195 is rated for opera- tion from −55 ̊C to +150 ̊C and the LM395 from 0 ̊C to +125 ̊C.

The SN65176B and SN75176B devices combine a 3-state differential line driver and a differential input line receiver, both of which operate from a single 5- V power supply. The driver and receiver have activehigh and active-low enables, respectively, that can be connected together externally to function as a direction control. The driver differential outputs and the receiver differential inputs are connected internally to form differential input/output (I/O) bus ports that are designed to offer minimum loading to the bus when the driver is disabled or VCC = 0. These ports feature wide positive and negative common-mode voltage ranges, making the device suitable for partyline applications. The driver is designed for up to 60 mA of sink or source current. The driver features positive and negative current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection from line-fault conditions. Thermal shutdown is designed to occur at a junction temperature of approximately 150°C.     The IL300 linear optocoupler consists of an AlGaAs infrared emitter irradiating an output PIN photodiode and a feedback photodiode.     The DG406 is a 16 channel single-ended analog multiplexer designed to connect one of sixteen inputs to a common output as determined by a 4-bit binary address. The DG407 selects one of eight differential inputs to a common differential output. Break-before-make switching action protects against momentary shorting of inputs. An on channel conducts current equally well in both directions. In the off state each channel blocks voltages up to the power supply rails. An enable (EN) function allows the user to reset the multiplexer/demultiplexer to all switches off for stacking several devices. All control inputs, address (Ax) and enable (EN) are TTL compatible over the full specified operating temperature range. Applications for the DG406, DG407 include high speed data acquisition, audio signal switching and routing, ATE systems, and avionics.     The IR2153D(S) are an improved version of the popular IR2155 and IR2151 gate driver ICs, and incorporates a high voltage half-bridge gate driver with a front end oscillator similar to the industry standard CMOS 555 timer.
