The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP3204/3208 devices are successive approximation 12-bit Analogto-Digital (A/D) Converters with on-board sample and hold circuitry. The MCP3204 is programmable to provide two pseudo-differential input pairs or four single-ended inputs. The MCP3208 is programmable to provide four pseudo-differential input pairs or eight single-ended inputs. Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) is specified at ±1 LSB, while Integral Nonlinearity (INL) is offered in ±1 LSB (MCP3204/3208-B) and ±2 LSB (MCP3204/3208-C) versions. Communication with the devices is accomplished using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The devices are capable of conversion rates of up to 100 ksps. The MCP3204/3208 devices operate over a broad voltage range (2.7V - 5.5V). Low current design permits operation with typical standby and active currents of only 500 nA and 320 µA, respectively. The MCP3204 is offered in 14-pin PDIP, 150 mil SOIC and TSSOP packages. The MCP3208 is offered in 16-pin PDIP and SOIC packages.

The LM108 is a precision operational amplifier having speci-fications a factor of ten better than FET amplifiers over a−55 ̊C to +125 ̊C temperature range.The devices operate with supply voltages from±2V to±20Vand have sufficient supply rejection to use unregulated sup-plies. Although the circuit is interchangeable with, and usesthe same compensation as the LM101A, an alternate com-pensation scheme can be used to make it particularly insen-sitive to power supply noise and to make supply bypasscapacitors unnecessary.The low current error of the LM108 makes possible manydesigns that are not practical with conventional amplifiers. Infact, it operates from 10 MΩsource resistances, introducingless error than devices like the 709 with 10 kΩsources.Integrators with drifts less than 500 μV/sec and analog timedelays in excess of one hour can be made using capacitorsno larger than 1 μF.

The LM359 consists of two current differencing (Norton) input amplifiers. Design emphasis has been placed on obtaining high frequency performance and providing user programmable amplifier operating characteristics. Each amplifier is broadbanded to provide a high gain bandwidth product, fast slew rate and stable operation for an inverting closed loop gain of 10 or greater. Pins for additional external frequency compensation are provided. The amplifiers are designed to operate from a single supply and can accommodate input common-mode voltages greater than the supply. 

The Broadcom® HCNR200/201 high-linearity analog optocoupler consists of a high-performance AlGaAs LED that illuminates two closely matched photodiodes. The input photodiode monitors, and therefore stabilizes, the light output of the LED. As a result, the nonlinearity and drift characteristics of the LED can be virtually eliminated. The output photodiode produces a photocurrent that is linearly related to the light output of the LED. The close matching of the photodiodes and advanced design of the package ensure the high linearity and stable gain characteristics of the optocoupler. The HCNR200/201 isolates analog signals in a wide variety of applications that require good stability, linearity, bandwidth, and low cost. The HCNR200/201 is flexible and, by appropriate design of the application circuit, is capable of operating in many different modes, including unipolar/ bipolar, AC/DC and inverting/noninverting. The HCNR200/201 is an excellent solution for many analog isolation problems.

These small outline high CMR, high speed, logic gate opto coup lers are single channel devices in a five lead miniature foot print. They are electrically equivalent to the following Avago optocouplers (except there is no output enable feature): SO-5 Package Standard DIP SO-8 Package HCPL-M600 6N137 HCPL-0600 HCPL-M601 HCPL-2601 HCPL-0601 HCPL-M611 HCPL-2611 HCPL-0611 The SO-5 JEDEC registered (MO-155) package outline does not require “through holes” in a PCB. This package occupies approximately one fourth the footprint area of the standard dual-in-line package. The lead profile is designed to be com patible with standard surface mount processes. The HCPL-M600/01/11 optically coupled gates combine a GaAsP light emitting diode and an integrated high gain photon detector. The output of the detector I.C. is an Open-collector Schottky-clamped transistor. The internal shield provides a guaranteed common mode transient immunity specification of 5,000 V/μs for the HCPL-M601, and 10,000 V/μs for the HCPL-M611. This unique design provides maximum ac and dc circuit isolation while achieving TTL compatibility. The optocoupler ac and dc operational param eters are guaranteed from –40°C to 85°C allowing trouble free system performance.

The 6N135 and 6N136 are optocouplers with a GaAIAs infrared emitting diode, optically coupled with an integrated photo detector which consists of a photo diode and a high speed transistor in a DIP-8 plastic package. Signals can be transmitted between two electrically separated circuits up to frequencies of 2 MHz. The potential difference between the circuits to be coupled should not exceed the maximum permissible reference voltages.

These diode-transistor optocouplers use an insulatinglayer between a LED and an integrated photodetector toprovide electrical insulation between input and output.Separate connections for the photodiode bias and output-transistor collector increase the speed up to a hundred times that of a conventional phototransistor couplerby reducing the base-collector capacitance.These single channel optocouplers are available in8-Pin DIP, SO-8 and Widebody package configurations.The HCPL-4502/4503 and HCNW4502/4503 are designedfor high speed TTL/TTL applications. A standard 16 mA TTLsink current through the input LED will provide enoughoutput current for 1 TTL load and a 5.6 kΩ pull-up resistor.CTR for these devices is 19% minimum at IF=16mA.
