The L6219 is a bipolar monolithic integrated circuits intended to control and drive both winding of a bipolar stepper motor or bidirectionally control two DC motors. The L6219 with a few external components form a complete control and drive circuit for LS-TTL or microprocessor controlled stepper motor system. The power stage is a dual full bridge capable of sustaining 46 V and including four diodes for current recirculation. A cross conduction protection is provided to avoid simultaneous cross conduction during switching current direction. An internal pulse-width-modulation (PWM) controls the output current to 750 mA with peak startup current up to 1 A. Wide range of current control from 750 mA (each bridge) is permitted by means of two logic inputs and an external voltage reference. The SG3525A series of pulse width modulator integrated circuits are designed to offer improved performance and lowered external parts count when used in designing all types of switching power supplies. The on-chip + 5.1 V reference is trimmed to ± 1 % and the input common-mode range of the error amplifier includes the reference voltage eliminating external resistors. A sync input to the oscillator allows multiple units to be slaved or a single unit to be synchronized to an external system clock. A single resistor between the CT and the discharge terminals provide a wide range of dead time ad- justment. These devices also feature built-in soft-start circuitry with only an external timing capacitor required. A shutdown terminal controls both the soft-start circuity and the output stages, providing instantaneous turn off through the PWM latch with pulsed shutdown, as well as soft-start recycle with longer shutdown commands. These functions are also controlled by an undervoltage lockout which keeps the outputs off and the soft-start capacitor discharged for sub-normal input voltages. This lockout circuitry includes approximately 500 mV of hysteresis for jitterfree operation. Another feature of these PWM circuits is a latch following the comparator. Once a PWM pulses has been terminated for any reason, the outputs will remain off for the duration of the period. The latch is reset with each clock pulse. The output stages are totem-pole designs capable of sourcing or sinking in excess of 200 mA. The SG3525A output stage features NOR logic, giving a LOW output for an OFF state.

The A4975 is designed to drive one winding of a bipolar stepper motor in a microstepping mode. The outputs are rated for continuous output currents to ±1.5 A and operating voltages to 50 V. Internal pulse-width-modulated (PWM) current control combined with an internal three-bit nonlinear digitalto-analog converter allows the motor current to be controlled in full-, half-, quarter-, or eighth-step (microstepping) modes. Nonlinear increments minimize the number of control lines necessary for microstepping. Microstepping provides increased step resolution and reduces torque variations and resonance problems at low speed. Internal circuitry determines whether the PWM current control circuitry operates in a slow (recirculating) current decay mode, fast (regenerative) current decay mode, or in a mixed current decay mode in which the off-time is divided into a period of fast current decay and with the remainder of the fixed off-time spent in slow current decay. The combination of user-selectable current-sensing resistor and reference voltage, digitally selected output current ratio, and slow, fast, or mixed current decay modes provides users with a broad, variable range of motor control.

The AD536A is a complete monolithic integrated circuit that performs true rms-to-dc conversion. It offers performance comparable or superior to that of hybrid or modular units costing much more. The AD536A directly computes the true rms value of any complex input waveform containing ac and dc components. A crest factor compensation scheme allows measurements with 1% error at crest factors up to 7. The wide bandwidth of the device extends the measurement capability to 300 kHz with less than 3 dB errors for signal levels greater than 100 mV. An important feature of the AD536A, not previously available in rms converters, is an auxiliary dB output pin. The logarithm of the rms output signal is brought out to a separate pin to allow the dB conversion, with a useful dynamic range of 60 dB. Using an externally supplied reference current, the 0 dB level can be conveniently set to correspond to any input level from 0.1 V to 2 V rms. The AD536A is laser trimmed to minimize input and output offset voltage, to optimize positive and negative waveform symmetry (dc reversal error), and to provide full-scale accuracy at 7 V rms. As a result, no external trims are required to achieve the rated unit accuracy. The input and output pins are fully protected. The input circuitry can take overload voltages well beyond the supply levels. Loss of supply voltage with the input connected to external circuitry does not cause the device to fail. The output is short-circuit protected. The DS1225Y 64k Nonvolatile SRAM is a 65,536-bit, fully static, nonvolatile RAM organized as 8192 words by 8 bits. Each NV SRAM has a self-contained lithium energy source and control circuitry which constantly monitors VCC for an out-of-tolerance condition. The monolithic chip is available in two special packages to provide a highly integrated battery-backed memory and real-time clock solution. The M48T08/18/08Y is a non-volatile pin and function equivalent to any JEDEC standard 8 K x 8 SRAM. It also easily fits into many ROM, EPROM, and EEPROM sockets, providing the non-volatility of PROMs without any requirement for special WRITE timing or limitations on the number of WRITEs that can be performed. The 28-pin, 600 mil DIP CAPHAT™ houses the M48T08/18/08Y silicon with a quartz crystal and a long-life lithium button cell in a single package. The 28-pin, 330 mil SOIC provides sockets with gold-plated contacts at both ends for direct connection to a separate SNAPHAT® housing containing the battery and crystal. The unique design allows the SNAPHAT® battery package to be mounted on top of the SOIC package after the completion of the surface mount process. Insertion of the SNAPHAT® housing after reflow prevents potential battery and crystal damage due to the high temperatures required for device surface-mounting. The TC4420/TC4429 are 6A (peak), single-output MOSFET drivers. The TC4429 is an inverting driver (pin-compatible with the TC429), while the TC4420 is a non-inverting driver. The TC426/TC427/TC428 are dual CMOS high-speed drivers. A TTL/CMOS input voltage level is translated into a rail-to-rail output voltage level swing. The CMOS output is within 25 mV of ground or positive supply. The low-impedance, high-current driver outputs swing a 1000 pF load 18V in 30 nsec. The unique current and voltage drive qualities make the TC426/TC427/TC428 ideal power MOSFET drivers, line drivers, and DC-toDC converter building blocks. Input logic signals may equal the power supply voltage. Input current is a low 1 A, making direct interface to CMOS/bipolar switch-mode power supply control ICs possible, as well as open-collector analog comparators. Quiescent power supply current is 8 mA maximum. The TC426 requires 1/5 the current of the pin-compatible bipolar DS0026 device. This is important in DC-to-DC converter applications with power efficiency constraints and high-frequency switch-mode power supply applications. Quiescent current is typically 6 mA when driving a 1000 pF load 18V at 100 kHz. The inverting TC426 driver is pin-compatible with the bipolar DS0026 and MMH0026 devices. The TC427 is noninverting; the TC428 contains an inverting and noninverting driver. Other pin compatible driver families are the TC1426/ TC1427/TC1428, TC4426/TC4427/TC4428 and TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A.
