The L6219 is a bipolar monolithic integrated circuits intended to control and drive both winding of a bipolar stepper motor or bidirectionally control two DC motors. The L6219 with a few external components form a complete control and drive circuit for LS-TTL or microprocessor controlled stepper motor system. The power stage is a dual full bridge capable of sustaining 46 V and including four diodes for current recirculation. A cross conduction protection is provided to avoid simultaneous cross conduction during switching current direction. An internal pulse-width-modulation (PWM) controls the output current to 750 mA with peak startup current up to 1 A. Wide range of current control from 750 mA (each bridge) is permitted by means of two logic inputs and an external voltage reference. A phase input to each bridge determines the load current direction. A thermal protection circuitry disables the outputs if the chip temperature exceeds safe operating limits.

The SG3525A series of pulse width modulator integrated circuits are designed to offer improved performance and lowered external parts count when used in designing all types of switching power supplies. The on-chip + 5.1 V reference is trimmed to ± 1 % and the input common-mode range of the error amplifier includes the reference voltage eliminating external resistors. A sync input to the oscillator allows multiple units to be slaved or a single unit to be synchronized to an external system clock. A single resistor between the CT and the discharge terminals provide a wide range of dead time ad- justment. These devices also feature built-in soft-start circuitry with only an external timing capacitor required. A shutdown terminal controls both the soft-start circuity and the output stages, providing instantaneous turn off through the PWM latch with pulsed shutdown, as well as soft-start recycle with longer shutdown commands. These functions are also controlled by an undervoltage lockout which keeps the outputs off and the soft-start capacitor discharged for sub-normal input voltages. This lockout circuitry includes approximately 500 mV of hysteresis for jitterfree operation. Another feature of these PWM circuits is a latch following the comparator. Once a PWM pulses has been terminated for any reason, the outputs will remain off for the duration of the period. The latch is reset with each clock pulse. The output stages are totem-pole designs capable of sourcing or sinking in excess of 200 mA. The SG3525A output stage features NOR logic, giving a LOW output for an OFF state.

These products are optically coupled isolators containing a GaAs light emitting diode and an NPN silicon phototransistor in a plastic SSOP for high density applications to realize an excellent cost performance. This package has shield effect to cut off ambient light. 

The A4975 is designed to drive one winding of a bipolar stepper motor in a microstepping mode. The outputs are rated for continuous output currents to ±1.5 A and operating voltages to 50 V. Internal pulse-width-modulated (PWM) current control combined with an internal three-bit nonlinear digitalto-analog converter allows the motor current to be controlled in full-, half-, quarter-, or eighth-step (microstepping) modes. Nonlinear increments minimize the number of control lines necessary for microstepping. Microstepping provides increased step resolution and reduces torque variations and resonance problems at low speed. Internal circuitry determines whether the PWM current control circuitry operates in a slow (recirculating) current decay mode, fast (regenerative) current decay mode, or in a mixed current decay mode in which the off-time is divided into a period of fast current decay and with the remainder of the fixed off-time spent in slow current decay. The combination of user-selectable current-sensing resistor and reference voltage, digitally selected output current ratio, and slow, fast, or mixed current decay modes provides users with a broad, variable range of motor control.  

The AD1674 is a complete, multipurpose, 12-bit analog-todigital converter, consisting of a user-transparent onboard sample-and-hold amplifier (SHA), 10 volt reference, clock and three-state output buffers for microprocessor interface. The AD1674 is pin compatible with the industry standard AD574A and AD674A, but includes a sampling function while delivering a faster conversion rate. The on-chip SHA has a wide input bandwidth supporting 12-bit accuracy over the full Nyquist bandwidth of the converter.

The AD536A is a complete monolithic integrated circuit that performs true rms-to-dc conversion. It offers performance comparable or superior to that of hybrid or modular units costing much more. The AD536A directly computes the true rms value of any complex input waveform containing ac and dc components. A crest factor compensation scheme allows measurements with 1% error at crest factors up to 7. The wide bandwidth of the device extends the measurement capability to 300 kHz with less than 3 dB errors for signal levels greater than 100 mV. An important feature of the AD536A, not previously available in rms converters, is an auxiliary dB output pin. The logarithm of the rms output signal is brought out to a separate pin to allow the dB conversion, with a useful dynamic range of 60 dB. Using an externally supplied reference current, the 0 dB level can be conveniently set to correspond to any input level from 0.1 V to 2 V rms. The AD536A is laser trimmed to minimize input and output offset voltage, to optimize positive and negative waveform symmetry (dc reversal error), and to provide full-scale accuracy at 7 V rms. As a result, no external trims are required to achieve the rated unit accuracy. The input and output pins are fully protected. The input circuitry can take overload voltages well beyond the supply levels. Loss of supply voltage with the input connected to external circuitry does not cause the device to fail. The output is short-circuit protected. The AD536A operates equally well from split supplies or a single supply with total supply levels from 5 V to 36 V. With 1 mA quiescent supply current, the device is well suited for a wide variety of remote controllers and battery-powered instruments

The M48T08/18/08Y TIMEKEEPER® RAM is an 8 K x 8 non-volatile static RAM and realtime clock which is pin and function compatible with the DS1643. The monolithic chip is available in two special packages to provide a highly integrated battery-backed memory and real-time clock solution. The M48T08/18/08Y is a non-volatile pin and function equivalent to any JEDEC standard 8 K x 8 SRAM. It also easily fits into many ROM, EPROM, and EEPROM sockets, providing the non-volatility of PROMs without any requirement for special WRITE timing or limitations on the number of WRITEs that can be performed. The 28-pin, 600 mil DIP CAPHAT™ houses the M48T08/18/08Y silicon with a quartz crystal and a long-life lithium button cell in a single package. The 28-pin, 330 mil SOIC provides sockets with gold-plated contacts at both ends for direct connection to a separate SNAPHAT® housing containing the battery and crystal. The unique design allows the SNAPHAT® battery package to be mounted on top of the SOIC package after the completion of the surface mount process. Insertion of the SNAPHAT® housing after reflow prevents potential battery and crystal damage due to the high temperatures required for device surface-mounting. The MC74HC125A/MC74HCT125A and MC74HC126A are identical in pinout to the LS125 and LS126. The HC125A and HC126A noninverting buffers are designed to be used with 3−state memory address drivers, clock drivers, and other bus−oriented systems. The devices have four separate output enables that are active−low (HC125A) or active−high (HC126A).

The TC4420/TC4429 are 6A (peak), single-output MOSFET drivers. The TC4429 is an inverting driver (pin-compatible with the TC429), while the TC4420 is a non-inverting driver. These drivers are fabricated in CMOS for lower power and more efficient operation versus bipolar drivers. Both devices have TTL/CMOS compatible inputs that can be driven as high as VDD + 0.3V or as low as –5V without upset or damage to the device. This eliminates the need for external level-shifting circuitry and its associated cost and size. The output swing is rail-to-rail, ensuring better drive voltage margin, especially during power-up/power-down sequencing. Propagational delay time is only 55 ns (typ.) and the output rise and fall times are only 25 ns (typ.) into 2500 pF across the usable power supply range. Unlike other drivers, the TC4420/TC4429 are virtually latch-up proof. They replace three or more discrete components, saving PCB area, parts and improving overall system reliability

The CD4049UB and CD4050B devices are inverting and noninverting hex buffers, and feature logic-level conversion using only one supply voltage (VCC). The input-signal high level (VIH) can exceed the VCC supply voltage when these devices are used for logiclevel conversions. These devices are intended for use as CMOS to DTL or TTL converters and can drive directly two DTL or TTL loads. (VCC = 5 V, VOL ≤ 0.4 V, and IOL ≥ 3.3 mA.)
