The Intersil ICL7139 and ICL7149 are high performance, lowpower, auto-ranging digital multimeter lCs. Unlike otherautoranging multimeter ICs, the ICL7139 and ICL7149always display the result of a conversion on the correctrange. There is no “range hunting” noticeable in the display.The unit will autorange between the four different ranges. Amanual switch is used to select the 2 high group ranges. DCcurrent ranges are 4mA and 40mA in the low current group,and 400mA and 4A in the high current group. Resistancemeasurements are made on 4 ranges, which are divided intotwo groups. The low resistance ranges are 4/40kΩ. The highresistance ranges are 0.4/4MΩ. Resolution on the lowestrange is 1Ω

The ICL7104, combined with the ICL8052 or ICL8068, forms a member of Intersil’ high performance A/D converter family. The ICL7104-16, performs the analog switching and digital function for a 16-bit binary A/D converter, with full three-state output, UART handshake capability, and other outputs for easy interfacing. The ICL7014-14 is a 14-bit version. The analog section, as with all Intersil’ integrating converters, provides fully precise Auto-Zero, Auto-Polarity (including ±0 null indication), single reference operation, very high input impedance, true input integration over a constant period for maximum EMI rejection, fully rationmetric operation, over-range indication, and a medium quality built-in reference. The chip pair also offers optional input buffer gain for high sensitivity applications, a built-in clock oscillator, and output signals for providing an external Auto-Zero capability in preconditioning circuitry, synchronizing external multiplexers, etc.

The HIP4082 is a medium frequency, medium voltage H-Bridge N-Channel MOSFET driver IC, available in 16 lead plastic SOIC (N) and DIP packages. Specifically targeted for PWM motor control and UPS applications, bridge based designs are made simple and flexible with the HIP4082 H-bridge driver. With operation up to 80V, the device is best suited to applications of moderate power levels. Similar to the HIP4081, it has a flexible input protocol for driving every possible switch combination except those which would cause a shoot-through condition. The HIP4082’s reduced drive current allows smaller packaging and it has a much wider range of programmable dead times (0.1 to 4.5s) making it ideal for switching frequencies up to 200kHz. The HIP4082 does not contain an internal charge pump, but does incorporate non-latching level-shift translation control of the upper drive circuits. This set of features and specifications is optimized for applications where size and cost are important. For applications needing higher drive capability the HIP4080A and HIP4081A are recommended.
