This monolithic integrated circuit contains all the control circuitry for a regulating power supply inverter or switching regulator. Included in a 16-pin dual-in-line package is the voltage reference, error amplifier, oscillator, pulse width modulator, pulse steering flip-flop, dual alternating output switches and current limiting and shut-down circuitry. This device can be used for switching regulators of either polarity, transformer coupled DC to DC converters, transformerless voltage doublers and polarity converters, as well as other power applications. The SG1524 is specified for operation over the full military ambient temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, the SG2524 for -25°C to +85°C, and the SG3524 is designed for commercial applications of 0°C to +70°C.

The MCP3301 13-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter features full differential inputs and low power consumption in a small package that is ideal for battery-powered systems and remote data acquisition applications. Incorporating a successive approximation architecture with on-board sample and hold circuitry, the 13-bit A/D converter is specified to have ±1 LSB Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and ±1 LSB Integral Nonlinearity (INL) for B-grade devices and ±2 LSB for C-grade devices. The industry-standard SPI serial interface enables 13- bit A/D converter capability to be added to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP3301 features a low current design that permits operation with typical standby and active currents of only 50 nA and 300 µA, respectively. The device is capable of conversion rates of up to 100 ksps with tested specifications over a 4.5V to 5.5V supply range. The reference voltage can be varied from 400 mV to 5V, yielding input-referred resolution between 98 µV and 1.22 mV. The MCP3301 is available in 8-pin PDIP, 150 mil SOIC, and MSOP packages. The full differential inputs of this device enable a wide variety of signals to be used in applications such as remote data acquisition, portable instrumentation, and battery-operated applications.

The Maxim ICL7652 is a chopper-stabilized amplifier, ideal for applications requiring low-level signal ampli-fication and conditioning. This device offers distinct performance advantages over the ICL7650, including improved noise performance and a wider common-mode input voltage range. The bandwidth and slew rate are slightly reduced. The ICL7652 virtually eliminates the Vos error term in system error calculations, eliminating the reliability and cost problems associated with potentiometer adjust-ments. In addition, the 0.010V/° C Vosdrift specification and the excellent long term offset stability eliminate the need for periodic Vos trimming. The offset nulling circuit for the 8-lead ICL7652 is con-trolled by an internal oscillatorcircuit. The 14-lead version offers the capability of connecting an external oscillator to control the Vos nulling operation. The 14-lead device has an output voltage clamp circuit to minimize overload recovery time. 

The TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A are improved versions of the earlier TC4426/TC4427/TC4428 family of MOSFET drivers. In addition to matched rise and fall times, the TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A devices have matched leading and falling edge propagation delay times. These devices are highly latch-up resistant under any conditions within their power and voltage ratings. They are not subject to damage when up to 5V of noise spiking (of either polarity) occurs on the Ground pin. They can accept, without damage or logic upset, up to 500 mA of reverse current (of either polarity) being forced back into their outputs. All terminals are fully protected against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) up to 2 kV. The TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A MOSFET drivers can easily charge/discharge 1000 pF gate capacitances in under 30 ns. These devices provide low enough impedances in both the On and Off states to ensure the MOSFET’s intended state will not be affected, even by large transients.

The TC7662A is a pin-compatible upgrade to the industry standard TC7660 charge pump voltage converter. It converts a +3V to +18V input to a corresponding -3V to -18V output using only two lowcost capacitors, eliminating inductors and their associated cost, size and EMI. In addition to a wider power supply input range (3V to 18V versus 1.5V to 10V for the TC7660), the TC7662A can source output currents as high as 40mA. The on-board oscillator operates at a nominal frequency of 12kHz. Operation below 12kHz (for lower supply current applications) is also possible by connecting an external capacitor from OSC to ground. The TC7662A directly is recommended for designs requiring greater output current and/or lower input/ output voltage drop. It is available in 8-pin PDIP and CERDIP packages in commercial and extended temperature ranges.

It consists of fourindependent, high gain, internally compensated, low poweroperational amplifiers which have been designed to providefunctional characteristics identical to those of the familiar741 operational amplifier. In addition the total supply currentfor all four amplifiers is comparable to the supply current of asingle 741 type op amp. Other features include input offsetcurrents and input bias current which are much less thanthose of a standard 741. The SG3525A series of pulse width modulator integrated circuits are designed to offer improved performance and lowered external parts count when used in designing all types of switching power supplies. The on-chip + 5.1 V reference is trimmed to ± 1 % and the input common-mode range of the error amplifier includes the reference voltage eliminating external resistors. A sync input to the oscillator allows multiple units to be slaved or a single unit to be synchronized to an external system clock. A single resistor between the CT and the discharge terminals provide a wide range of dead time ad- justment. These devices also feature built-in soft-start circuitry with only an external timing capacitor required. A shutdown terminal controls both the soft-start circuity and the output stages, providing instantaneous turn off through the PWM latch with pulsed shutdown, as well as soft-start recycle with longer shutdown commands. These functions are also controlled by an undervoltage lockout which keeps the outputs off and the soft-start capacitor discharged for sub-normal input voltages. This lockout circuitry includes approximately 500 mV of hysteresis for jitterfree operation. Another feature of these PWM circuits is a latch following the comparator. Once a PWM pulses has been terminated for any reason, the outputs will remain off for the duration of the period. The latch is reset with each clock pulse. The output stages are totem-pole designs capable of sourcing or sinking in excess of 200 mA. The SG3525A output stage features NOR logic, giving a LOW output for an OFF state.

The PCF8574T/3,518 is an 8-bit remote I/O Expander for I²C-bus with interrupt. It provides general-purpose remote I/O expansion via the two-wire bidirectional I²C-bus (serial clock (SCL), serial data (SDA)). The devices consist of eight quasi-bidirectional ports, 100KHz I²C-bus interface, three hardware address inputs, and interrupt output operating between 2.5 and 6V. The MC6821 Peripheral Interface Adapter provides the universal means of interfacing peripheral equipment to the M6800 family of microprocessors. This device is capable of interfacing the MPU to peripherals through two 8-bit bidirectional peripheral data buses and four control lines.
