The MCP3301 13-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter features full differential inputs and low power consumption in a small package that is ideal for battery-powered systems and remote data acquisition applications. Incorporating a successive approximation architecture with on-board sample and hold circuitry, the 13-bit A/D converter is specified to have ±1 LSB Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and ±1 LSB Integral Nonlinearity (INL) for B-grade devices and ±2 LSB for C-grade devices. The industry-standard SPI serial interface enables 13- bit A/D converter capability to be added to any PIC® microcontroller. The MCP3301 features a low current design that permits operation with typical standby and active currents of only 50 nA and 300 µA, respectively. The device is capable of conversion rates of up to 100 ksps with tested specifications over a 4.5V to 5.5V supply range. The reference voltage can be varied from 400 mV to 5V, yielding input-referred resolution between 98 µV and 1.22 mV. The MCP3301 is available in 8-pin PDIP, 150 mil SOIC, and MSOP packages. The LPC2138FBD64 microcontrollers are based on a 16-bit/32-bit ARM7TDMI-S CPU with real-time emulation that combines the microcontroller with 8 kB, 16 kB or 32 kB of embedded high-speed flash memory. A 128-bit wide memory interface and a unique accelerator architecture enable 32-bit code execution at the maximum clock rate. For critical performance in interrupt service routines and DSP algorithms, this increases performance up to 30 % over Thumb mode. For critical code size applications, the alternative 16-bit Thumb mode reduces code by more than 30 % with minimal performance penalty. 

Due to their tiny size and low power consumption, the LPC2101/02/03 are ideal for applications where miniaturization is a key requirement. A blend of serial communications interfaces ranging from multiple UARTs, SPI to SSP and two I2C-buses, combined with on-chip SRAM of 2 kB/4 kB/8 kB, make these devices very well suited for communication gateways and protocol converters. The superior performance also makes these devices suitable for use as math coprocessors. Various 32-bit and 16-bit timers, an improved 10-bit ADC, PWM features through output match on all timers, and 32 fast GPIO lines with up to nine edge or level sensitive external interrupt pins make these microcontrollers particularly suitable for industrial control and medical systems.

    The TC7662A is a pin-compatible upgrade to the industry standard TC7660 charge pump voltage converter. It converts a +3V to +18V input to a corresponding -3V to -18V output using only two lowcost capacitors, eliminating inductors and their associated cost, size and EMI. These devices also feature built-in soft-start circuitry with only an external timing capacitor required. A shutdown terminal controls both the soft-start circuity and the output stages, providing instantaneous turn off through the PWM latch with pulsed shutdown, as well as soft-start recycle with longer shutdown commands. These functions are also controlled by an undervoltage lockout which keeps the outputs off and the soft-start capacitor discharged for sub-normal input voltages. This lockout circuitry includes approximately 500 mV of hysteresis for jitterfree operation. Another feature of these PWM circuits is a latch following the comparator. Once a PWM pulses has been terminated for any reason, the outputs will remain off for the duration of the period. The latch is reset with each clock pulse. The output stages are totem-pole designs capable of sourcing or sinking in excess of 200 mA. The SG3525A output stage features NOR logic, giving a LOW output for an OFF state.

    The MC144898 is a flexible light-emitting-diode driver which directly interfaces to individual lamps, 7-segment displays, or various combinations of both. LEOs wired with common cathodes are driven in a multiplexed-by-5 fashion. Communication with an MCUIMPU is established through a synchronous serial port.
